The First Blog of the Year – For Those That Prefer Not to Read

I will admit it. I am not an avid reader. I am a visual sort of learner/person, so I prefer my information is some sort of graphical way. I have found that I am not the only one, however! So with this bit of knowledge, how are we accommodating people like me? Well, we can solve that through video.

Here, I will give you an example: you have a new group of students coming into your class, and you want to make sure they understand what your course will be like, and what your expectations (of them) are. Like the Apple license agreement that almost nobody reads, the description given online (in text) or in the course catalog might be ignored. Why not create a quick little video introducing yourself and giving your expectations? It doesn’t have to be a long or involved video. Rather, just a quick little showing to help your students understand what they are getting into. From there we just put it in Canvas and everything is golden!

Here is where I can help you! My office is equipped with a nice video camera, lighting, audio equipment, and a green screen background (which we can replace at your whim).

Give me a call, write me an email message, or stop on by and we can work out something that will demonstrate your passion for your course(s) to your future students.
